I am sad to report that our favorite spot to go and vacation
has come to an end. We are all very sad..
My Husband and I took a drive down a couple of weekends
ago to see the damage. As I took pictures, I cried...
Back in May, there was a flood that destroyed everything in
it's path. WoW, what Mother Nature can do.
We have gone for the past three years and have gotten to know
the owners of this home. They are the sweetest people and my
heart just sank to see the devastation they had to face.
This is the second time they have had to go through this.
With out having to go into full detail, the first was done on purpose
by the government. They held the water way to long and when
the government gave order to release the water it flooded everything
down on the river.
This time though was the worst. The water even reach the top part
of their home.
Now here are a couple of pictures to show you what it use to look like:
We loved this place, it was nice to get away from it all and be able
to fish off the dock, sit on the rock patio out by the river with a
cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.
It's was fun jumping on the boat and driving down the river to go
shopping and okay, fish. It's a place we will defiantly miss.
So now, it's time to find a new place. But it will never be the same.
